There are just some things we should not see...

...and your undergarments are a few of them. So, anyone who has been around me for any period of time knows that I am at war with bad underwear. I cringe when I see a professional woman's VPL (visible pantyline), shake my head when a woman has stopped walking but her behind has not and sink down in my seat when I see a woman walking to me with a volcano of bosom about to erupt out of her bra. We spend SO much money on our outward appearance, but don't give a thought to what should be holding our look together...some good undergarments! It's actually quite embarrassing.

Now don't get me wrong, I cringe at the thought of handing over nearly $50 for a bra and the anxiety I face before pouring all this body into some Spanx is immeasurable. However, the alternative is not going to take my style to the next level and get me that well deserved promotion, so I do what I gotta do.

So, for today's assignment, I want you to go into your undergarment drawer and try EVERYTHING on. That's right everything! Anything that's torn, too tight, too loose or too old throw it out. It's not working for your personal style, it's working against you. And we made a commitment this year to do better, right? Okay, so you go through your drawer and I'll go through mine. We'll come together later on this week to discuss what we found out about ourselves during the process (for example, it's gonna be hard for me to throw out some of my old bras...those joints cost a guap!) and talk about some undergarment essentials we need to invest in. Oh, and for some tips on how to keep that figure together in the meantime, follow my 'Shapes in the City' Pinterest board here. I update it daily with various resources on how to dress for your body shape. Leave me a note to let me know what you think.

Toodles!
