headed to sicily before breast cancer surgery…

About a month ago, my life altered course when I was diagnosed with Stage 0 Breast Cancer, or DCIS (or Ductal Carcinoma In Situ for laymen…of which I am one LOL). Basically, abnormal (or precancerous) cells are confined within the milk ducts of the breast and have not spread to surrounding tissues. I’m grateful that it was detected early, but I’m still a bit whiplashed, expecting to receive the all clear from my OB/GYN, only to be scheduled for an “urgently suggested” biopsy.

I’m scheduled for surgery to remove the affected area (12 centimeters or 4 inches) in about a month and then a round of radiation in the months following the surgery. However, before then, I’m headed to Sicily for a trip a year in the making. I’ve received so many love notes, DM’s, text messages and phone calls from across the globe offering love and support and when prompted if there’s anything people can do to help, I respond with a, “No, I’m good…” But you know what, I can be BETTER and part of being BETTER is to have the most splendiferous time in Sicily!

So if you’re inclined and you want to pay for a glass of wine or spa treatment, I’ve created a list based on the itinerary of the 10-day trip. My intent on this trip is to totally escape, veg out and prepare for the surgery and radiation awaiting me back home.

As a thank you, I’m sending you a downloadable copy of my guide, “A Guide to Confidence”. Prayerfully, it’ll give you some pointers on how to confidently walk through any difficulty you’re facing. No matter what battle you’re facing, you have everything on the inside of you to make it through.

XOXO Dionne
